Today, TSM is excited to announce its entry into another new title, with Kenji ‘NumotTheNummy’ Egashira signing on as our very first Magic: The Gathering (MTG) player!
Numot is one of the most well-known known streamers within the MTG community, being one of the first to stream the game when Twitch was still Justin.tv. His experience with Magic goes deep - though his competitive record only begins in 2011, he has been playing the card game for twenty years. He has also played Hearthstone and The Elder Scrolls: Legends, achieving the Legend rank in both games in the seasons he actively participated in them. Not only has he made appearances covering both Grand Prix and Pro Tours (now known as Mythic Championships), he’s won significant tournaments such as the Magic Online Championship Series Open in 2017.
With such impressive career, it’s hard to think of anyone better than Numot to represent TSM within the Magic community. We’re thrilled to be working with him, and wish him a big welcome to the organization!
It's an extremely huge honor to be joining TSM as its first Magic player. As someone who has played for 20 years, it's exciting to see the endless possibilities that are now presenting themselves to not only me but Magic players everywhere. I'm hoping that my joining TSM will be only a stepping stone in a direction that has been a long time coming, and I couldn't be more hopeful for what the future has to offer.
