We would like to welcome Jesper 'Zven' Svenningsen and Alfonso 'mithy' Aguirre Rodriguez as they make their way from Europe to North America to be TSM’s bottom lane for the 2018 NA LCS season. The pair have built up one of the most impressive track records over the past few years, having placed 2nd at the most recent MSI tournament, winning the past three EU LCS playoff finals (qualifying for the last five), and having finished as semi-finalists in the 2015 Wolrd Championships. Zven’s mechanically sound play and mithy’s shotcalling, in addition to their teamwork as a duo have caused many to consider them as one of the best bottom lane pairings in the entire world. We are extremely excited to have their talent and skills on our team, and hope for all our fans to give them a warm TSM welcome.
“I’m super excited to join TSM! I look forward to apply everything I’ve learnt these past years and build on my previous success together with Zven. It’s an honor for me to be considered a part of this puzzle and I will make sure I work my ass off to show everyone this was the right choice. I’ve been working over the idea of joining TSM ever since I first played against them in 2013 worlds, their fanbase is something worth of envy. Ever since I think I’ve been hearing TSM chants on every EU LCS finals so I have never been able to clear the thought out of my head. Now that I'm a part of the team, it feels like a dream come true and I can't wait to share our journey with you guys!”
-Alfonso 'mithy' Aguirre Rodriguez
“I am thrilled to be a part of TSM. TSM is a great organisation and one of the only places I could go together with my career long buddy, mithy. TSM has always shown their wish to succeed both domestically and internationally and I hope that I can be a part of achieving that. I have had great experiences and many memories the last three years on G2, but I am excited to start my new chapter in TSM.”
-Jesper 'Zven' Svenningsen
As of this announcement, we have completed our final roster for the 2018 NA LCS Season. Look forward to watching the following team roster on stage next year!
“My dream has always been to win Worlds - this is why I created TSM, and this is what every decision I have made in the past several years has been made for. I came into this season and doubled our budget to put together a roster that I felt had a real chance of doing this. We needed a shotcaller, so I signed a shotcaller. We needed a better coaching staff, so I signed one of the best coaches available. Many of the TSM members leaving this year have become some of my closest friends and they will always be my closest friends. It really sucked having to make the decision to replace them, but despite this I will keep making these sorts of decisions and keep pushing hard to improve the team if it means increasing our chances of winning Worlds.”
-Andy ‘Reginald’ Dinh
As a final note, both Dennis ‘Svenskeren’ Johnsen and Vincent ‘Biofrost’ Wang have found new teams to go to for the next season, so stay tuned in for further announcements.
